Wayne Keating

Photographer

Wayne was born & raised in Saskatoon, Sk. & from an early age always expressed an interest in the “Great Outdoors”. At a young age, traveling across Canada on family vacations etc., he saw a lot of scenery & wildlife & appreciated the beauty of it all.

It wasn’t till Wayne (in his early 20’s) received an old 35mm Halina film camera that the interest in photography really emerged in him. After a while, he was able to purchase a Nikon camera & lens & gradually upgraded his equipment over the years when he could afford a newer & better Nikon equipment.

Most of his photo’s are of wildlife in their natural habit, & also scenic country sides. When traveling the country side he always has his camera at the ready for the “Once in a lifetime shot” as it more often than not turns out to be!

His advice to new or other amateur photographers such as himself: “If traveling down a trail or country road, always have your camera ready to shoot from inside your vehicle & don’t get out if at all possible to get your shot! It is an excellent blind as birds & animals are not usually afraid of them if you cruise slowly to a stop to take their picture. You don’t have to buy expensive blinds, set them up & wait for hours in them to get a great picture!”

Wayne has won many awards for his habitat & wildlife photo’s & has also photographed upon request: Friends, family get-togethers, graduations & weddings.

“Happy Snapping!”
